SSAFA 12,500 Feet Sponsored Parachute Jump

Mindy to do Parachute Jump for SSAFAMindy is a Staff Nurse at Selly Oak Hospital, working in the Intensive Care Unit, where her duties involve the care of injured troops who have been serving in Afghanistan, she knows about the work of SSAFA and about our Norton Homes and how important they are for the families who visit badly injured loved ones; and that SSAFA support will still be on going throughout the years ahead. Her father is a volunteer helper with the Walsall and Wednesbury Branch so she has firsthand knowledge of our organisation.

The Parachute Jump took place on the 4th July 2010 and was a unique achievement for Mindy in that it was her maiden jump and she has a fear of heights. Mindy faced her fear to raise much needed funds in the knowledge that SSAFA will be here in another 125 years.
